The Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro (R03) is a plug-in wireless repeater designed to extend the coverage of an existing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. It connects wirelessly to your main router and rebroadcasts the network into areas where the original signal is weak.

The extender supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n on the 2.4 GHz band, with a signal rate of up to 300 Mbps. Two external antennas are used to improve coverage and connection stability. Xiaomi states that the extender can support up to 16 connected devices, making it suitable for extending everyday home connectivity to phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and other Wi-Fi clients.

Because this is a single-band 2.4 GHz repeater, it does not add 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi 5/6 capability. Actual throughput also depends on the quality of the link back to the main router, interference and placement. For best results, install it between the router and the weak-signal area while it still receives a strong router signal.

The Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro can be added and configured through the Xiaomi Home / Mi Home app. Xiaomi's support documentation also notes that when it is paired with a compatible Mi router, management may be available through the Mi Wi-Fi app. No separate smart-home gateway or hub is required; the extender connects directly to the existing Wi-Fi router.

The R03 model is rated for 100–240 V input, consumes 3.57 W, and measures 80 × 54 × 70 mm. It supports WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK wireless security and is specified for operation from 0 to 40 °C.
