Connectivity and setup

The hub uses Zigbee 3.0 (IEEE 802.15.4) for compatible child devices and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for its network connection. The official ZHWG15LM manual instructs users to add the gateway through the Mi Home app and to connect the phone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during setup. It also documents Apple HomeKit pairing; supported child devices can be exposed to Apple Home after they are added to the hub.
