The Xiaomi Smart Camera C701 is designed as a high-resolution indoor security camera for rooms where a broad field of view and fine detail matter. Its 8MP sensor records up to 3840 × 2160, while HDR helps retain detail in scenes with windows, lamps or other strong contrast. A large-aperture optical system and 940nm infrared illumination keep the camera useful after dark without relying on visible lighting.

Motorised movement lets the camera follow activity around a room rather than watching a single fixed direction.
