Aqara Hub M1S is a mains-powered smart-home gateway that links compatible Zigbee accessories to an app and automation platform. It also includes an RGB light and speaker, allowing it to serve as a visual or audible alert device in addition to its gateway role.

The linked seller variants are all M1S hub offers with different regional plug adapters. They do not include the other sensors mentioned in the broader kit listing, so this canonical page should describe the hub itself rather than a multi-device starter kit.

Aqara’s original M1S quick-start guide explicitly documents an alternate setup mode for Mi Home: after restoring factory settings, the button sequence can switch the hub from Aqara Home pairing to Mi Home pairing. This applies to the original M1S generation; later M1S Gen 2 hardware has different ecosystem support and should not be assumed equivalent.

Because Mi Home child-device support varies by region and accessory model, the hub’s presence in Mi Home does not guarantee every newer Aqara sensor or switch will be available there.

The Mi Home procedure comes from the original M1S documentation. Aqara later released M1S Gen 2 hardware, and its ecosystem behavior should not be assumed to match this first-generation unit. When buying from a mixed or long-running marketplace listing, verify that the delivered hub is the original M1S generation if Mi Home pairing is an essential requirement.
