Aqara Motion Sensor - ZigBee Movement Sensor for Smart Homes

The Aqara Motion Sensor (RTCGQ11LM) is a compact passive-infrared motion detector for smart-home automations. It senses movement in its field of view and reports events through Zigbee to a compatible hub, where they can trigger lighting, security notifications and other scenes.

Official Aqara specifications list a maximum detection distance of 7 m and a maximum detection angle of 170°. The sensor measures 30 × 30 × 33 mm and is supplied with an adjustable stand and adhesive mounting accessories, allowing the detection direction to be positioned for the room.

Power comes from a replaceable CR2450 battery. The stated operating range is -10°C to +45°C and 0–95% RH without condensation.

A Zigbee hub is required; the sensor does not connect directly to Wi‑Fi. The batch’s exact-model content and marketplace sources support Mi Home/Mijia use with compatible Xiaomi/Aqara gateways. Aqara’s current documentation lists Aqara Home and Apple Home support, with HomeKit functionality provided through a compatible Aqara hub. Region and gateway selection can affect which app exposes the accessory.

The previous specification profile mixed RTCGQ11LM data with Aqara FP1 presence-sensor names and several unrelated model numbers. This replacement keeps only facts tied to the RTCGQ11LM motion sensor.
