The Xiaomi Smart Central Gateway 4 is a central smart-home hub for the Xiaomi Home/Mijia ecosystem. The black square gateway is model ZSWG01CM, also identified by Xiaomi's smart-home platform as xiaomi.gateway.hub1. It is designed to keep compatible Xiaomi smart-home devices coordinated through a dedicated local hub instead of relying only on cloud-to-device communication.

Xiaomi describes the Central Gateway as an intelligent local control center and a high-capacity Bluetooth Mesh gateway. It is intended to bring compatible Bluetooth and Bluetooth Mesh devices into Xiaomi Home, where they can participate in rooms, scenes and automations. The hub's local-processing role is especially useful for automations that benefit from faster execution and less dependence on an external server connection.

The ZSWG01CM supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and also provides a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, giving the installation a choice of wireless or wired backhaul. Bluetooth 5.0 is used for its Bluetooth-side connectivity. Published specifications for this model give a compact 87 × 87 × 30.5 mm enclosure and 12 V / 1 A power input, with an operating range of -5°C to 50°C.

This model should not be confused with Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2: the Central Gateway 4 is centered on Bluetooth/Bluetooth Mesh and local hub functions rather than being the tri-protocol Zigbee/Bluetooth/Bluetooth Mesh Hub 2.
