Xiaomi Smart WiFi Door Sensor Smart Home Open Close Detector SmartlifeApp Control Notificat…

Smart Life Wi-Fi Door Sensor is a smart sensor. It is designed to report environmental or occupancy events for monitoring and automation. Protocol, gateway and app requirements are important because they determine which automations are available. Key capabilities include Wi-Fi connectivity.

The product is not Xiaomi Home / Mi Home compatible for the exact version described here. The exact door sensor uses the Smart Life app and Alexa/Google Home rather than Xiaomi Home/Mi Home.

Wireless connectivity is Wi-Fi; Detection is Door/window open-close; App is Smart Life; Voice ecosystems is Alexa / Google Home.

For reliable automations, position the sensor according to its documented range and avoid obstacles or environmental conditions that can distort readings. Battery-powered sensors should also be checked periodically even when the app reports battery status. A compatible gateway is required whenever the device does not communicate directly over Wi-Fi.

For automations, match the sensor to the documented protocol and gateway. Region-specific Mi Home devices may require the Mainland China region, while Smart Life, Aqara Home or other ecosystems are not interchangeable with Mi Home.
