Powering On: Insert the power adapter cable into the camera's power port, and the camera will automatically power on. The indicator light will be solid yellow, and you will hear a voice prompt, indicating successful startup.

Connecting to Mi Home App: This product is already integrated into Mi Home, allowing control through the Mi Home app and seamless integration with other products. Scan the QR code to download and install the Mi Home app. Users who have already installed the Mi Home app will directly access the device connection page. *MicroSD card is not included in the packaging and must be provided by the user (supports a maximum capacity of 256GB). Frequently Asked Questions

1.Storage Methods for Cameras and Precautions

①Cameras can operate without installing a MicroSD card. Without a Mi-CrOSD card, surveillance event videos will automatically be saved in cloud storage. If a MicroSD card is installed, surveillance videos will be stored 24/7 both in the cloud and on the MicroSD card.

②For complete event video storage, additional payment is required to activate the VIP cloud storage feature.

③Purchasing a MicroSD card separately allows for the rolling storage of surveillance videos 24/7, with specific storage capacity depending on the MicroSD card.

④The camera supports only FAT32-type MicroSD cards. If the MicroSD card exceeds 32GB, it needs to be formatted in the camera to avoid usage issues.

⑤ After the MicroSD card is full, the camera will automatically delete the earliest videos in a loop recording fashion. To prevent file loss, regularly back up MicroSD card files.

2.Installation Considerations

① For CW400, it is recommended to use a 6mm drill bit. The camera is suitable for hanging, side mounting, or pole mounting. If pole mounting is chosen, an 8mm clamp needs to be purchased separately.

② If the wall surface is wooden, expansion screws are not needed.

3.Camera Unable to Bind or Connect to the App, What to Do?

①Confirm that the Wi-Fi intended for binding can access the internet normally.

②The camera only supports connection to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.

③Ensure the Mi Home app is updated to the latest official version.

④The device's power indicator light is normal.

⑤Enter the correct password during binding.

⑥For cameras previously bound, if re-binding is necessary, the original account must first unbind and delete the device before a new user can rebind.

4.Camera Frequently Goes Offline, Unable to View Real-time Images, No Message Notifications, Image Lag, and Audio-Video Desynchronization - What to Do?

①Update the Mi Home app to the latest official version.

②Ensure the stability of the Wi-Fi network.

③Click on the network information in the upper right corner of the real-time image settings for more settings, including a Wi-Fi signal button, which can be used as a reference for adjusting the installation position signal.

④Video lag may be due to insufficient network bandwidth. Click on the [2.5k] icon in the preview screen and set the "Video Quality Selection" option to "Auto."

⑤If audio and video are out of sync, check if the camera's connected network is normal or try restarting the Mi Home app after exiting.

5.Unclear Image, Blurriness, or Black Night Vision - What to Do?

①Before use, keep the lens clean and wipe it with a soft cloth regularly.

②Avoid overexposure of night vision images due to obstacles such as walls and leaves within 60cm in front of the camera, affecting actual usage.

6.No Sound When Watching Real-time Videos - What to Do?

The default volume is muted during video playback. Click the sound button below the preview screen to enable sound and adjust the volume using the phone's volume keys.
